Accommodation in Romanati home is spread over two levels. The entrance on the lower level takes us to a large living/dining area with open kitchen and two shaded verandas. The living room features a large sofa, dining table for six and a fireplace, while the kitchen features a terracotta cement-made counter with custom wooden cupboards and an antique marble sink.
A wide corridor on the left takes us to a twin bedroom with custom-made beds, the bathroom, the utility/laundry room and an extra room/bedroom with a custom-made sofa bed.
A large L-shaped master bedroom with ensuite bathroom (shower) is on the upper floor, accessible through the original staircase of the house. The master bedroom features a custom-made double bed, a desk, a closet.
The outdoor areas of the house consist of a large terrace on the upper level and two verandas on the lower level. The terrace has magnificent views over the village, the gorge of Pefki and the sea and it is the best place for lounging with aperitifs around sunset.
The two verandas on the lower floor also have sitting spots. The front one features a large dining table and chairs. The second veranda features a large sofa with comfortable cushions.
Many original architectural details have been preserved, like the “boules” partition on the upper floor, the wooden floor of the upper floor, the original closets and cupboards, the “nerostalaktis” (a construction on the wall where they used to put the water jar in the old days) and the large fireplace in the twin bedroom – now purely decorative.
